Amazing food. Service is usually good

Expensive but we'll worth the price of admission. Great for a date or large parties. Food is second to none. We had Thomas as a waiter once. Would like to get him again to serve us...

Excellent food, amazing bar & superior staff. Thank you Collin for being not only expedient & attentive but also making my celebration dinner one of the most awesome evenings ever! You are the most compassionate, helpful & enlightening server! The Dingle Gin sealed the deal for the epic night!

Nice place just not worth the price tag. Fish was way over cooked and the meat wasn't all the special. Service was just ok, again it just wasn't worth the $$$.

Simply the best steakhouse in the LA area. I've been to them all (names unmentioned). Arroyo has always had the best service, great atmosphere, amazing sourdough and the steaks are ALWAYS cooked to perfection!

We went here for a family dinner in July 2019 for a special occasion (two family birthdays including a 70th) during a trip to the area. We were looking for a comfortable, classic steakhouse with excellent service and Arroyo hit the mark. Everything from drinks to dessert was spectacular. We got a variety of cuts, and everyone's steak was cooked perfectly (really, it should be what they do best), and was melt-in-your mouth delicious. I do agree it got a bit loud as the restaurant filled up, but I think everyone else was just enjoying their meals as much as we were. I'd go back here in a second, and still think about how good this food was.

Chose the Arroyo Chop House to celebrate my wife's birthday with some close friends. There were beautiful flowers and a card waiting at the table when we arrived along with a nice ambiance inside the Restaurant. The service for our table was so enjoyable thanks to Lauren! Our food was absolutely delicious starting with the warm garlic and sourdough bread; to the wedge salad. Our sides (caramelized corn, scalloped potatoes and truffle mac & cheese) were perfect compliments to the filets we ordered which were all cooked to perfection. The chocolate souffle for dessert capped the entire experience. My wife and I will most certainly be coming back!

This is my second time coming here and I must say the food does not disappoint. I had the king crab legs and my boo had the rib eye. We shared the BBQ shrimp and crab cakes appetizer. For our sides we had lobster mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was on point! We were seated in the back in the room with this huge glass wine cellar. It was amazing..... our waiter was great and the host at the front was great. I see why this restaurant has so much foot traffic. It's the go to steakhouse in Pasadena!

Always love this place. It is kind of dark inside but sets the mood for a romantic night or the feeling you are stuck in a mafioso steakhouse in Manhattan and waiting for John Gotti to appear from the dead as he waits to whack someone after an amazing steak dinner. The wine, the sides and the ambiance and help are all 5 stars. If you want to see light they do have an enclosed outdoor part with a fireplace. Valet parking is free just tip them.

We had family gathering there last Friday night. Very disappointed about the quality of the filet mignon we ordered. We asked it to be cooked as medium but the meat was so hard to cut and chew. When we told the waiter about the problem he gave us the attitude but the manager came by and replaced the order for us. The side dishes of lobster mashed potatoes, asparagus and scallops with wrapped bacon were very tasty. Service was not very impressive. We ordered the chocolate soufflé but the waiter sent us the wrong order. Overall the dining experience was not as good as we expected and I think the food quality was not as good as 3 years ago with my first visit of this restaurant. With this price tag I would expect better quality.

High quality meat, high class vibes with excellent service and presentation. Had a great ladies night out here.

Really good steak with tasty sauces and side-dishes; equally fantastic cocktails. Went this evening as a birthday dinner for my 45th since the extra special 40th they helped us put together was so perfect. I'd go into what I chose, but I don't think you could make a poor choice here. Maybe I'll mention that if you're sensitive to spiciness that the jalapeño corn soufflé has spicy flavor throughout so don't get that if you don't want spice, but great flavor and texture if you're neither shy of spice nor one that wants spice to disrupt your senses with it and don't like to actually taste it.

Arroyo Chop House is the best steakhouse in Pasadena. They serve the highest quality meat & fish. Service is awesome, prices are high but you get what you pay for. I would recommend the garlic bread and the chocolate soufflé.

Great food, tasty, well prepared. However, atmosphere was disappointing. Very loud, impacted by boisterous guests with no apparent consideration for the dining experience of others. Our expectation had been to enjoy a delicious meal without needing to raise our voices or not being able to hear our conversation. Best to avoid weekend.

Best steak ever. And excellent tuna!

The Filet Mignon was an amazing cut of steak, tender and flavorful, cooked perfectly. The sweet corn and mashed potatoes were a wonderful complement to the main course. The staff was exceptionally polite and friendly and able to handle our large group with ease.

Great service, best restaurant experience of my trip, for a great family gathering. Food - scallops, Wagyu and lobster were perfectly prepared. Oh and the cocktails were also spot on. And the chocolate souffle was a great finale...

A superb upscale steak and fish restaurant. On par or better than Morton's or Ruth Chris. Good cocktails. There's valet parking but you can self park as well. The sea bass was as good as the steak.

Very nice atmosphere, live piano playing, excellent food, top notch service. Drinks were perfect and clean bathrooms. 😊

Excellent food, and terrific service in a beautiful setting!

Ribeye steak was mostly inedible, all cartilage or something not chewable, like gum. Side orders were too oily for me. Garlic mashed potato were the only thing i liked from all the food we ordered. Definitely not worth the price for me. Front door lady, Jessica, was amazing, and a genuinely happy and caring person. She made up for the food.

Great steakhouse. If you're not satisfied with how your steak is cooked send it back (rarely happens); I had the Kansas City New York, medium (pink throughout). The tomahawk may be available but not on the menu so you have to ask. Sides were great; had the corn but lobster mash looked good. Appetizers were great; had oysters and shrimp but crab legs looked great. Service was great as well. Bar area is there if you're waiting for a table but probably always crowded. They also offer valet.

Great food. Fantastic service. Pricey but worth it....

This is the only place I visit that treated me nicely. Their staff were friendly and approachable. I also love food here and it so good and I enjoyed it. It was really nice place and clean.

Delicious steaks and excellent drinks. The Barrel Old Fashion is the perfect drink to start the evening. And the ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes is sublime! Finish with the raspberry creme brulee for dessert and that is a meal to remember. Servers were kind and quick. Atmosphere was warm and enjoyable. They have a live piano player too. Very good location and will definitely return.

One of the best steaks I have ever had

First visit ever. Great tomahawk. Wow!! I thought everything was delicious. The Brussels sprouts were good, maybe not great tho. Staff was spot on. Give them a try, you wont be disappointed.

This place is always my first choice. This is my 6th time coming here and I must say taste of food and the quality. I had the king crab legs and my boo the BBQ shrimp and crab cakes appetizer. Great time like before.Service was cool and fast enough to make you happy. our waiter was great and friendly. Now i know why this restaurant has so much foot traffic. Give them a chance and you won't be disappointed. Always my best place to go. Highly recommended.

At the moment you enter that place the personel give you a pleasant feeling. Very congenial crew, it is a friendly restaurant to to go out with buddies or with your date. tasty meals, professional chief cook and stuff, reasonable price and courteous service. Highly recommended.

Solid steak house competing with the best in LA. We tried the fillet mignon, ribeye, Australian lobster tail and lamb chop. Ribeye was probably the favorite-the most flavorful and beefy flavored item. The sides of mountain mushrooms were great and well portioned while the creamed spinach was a bit rich for some palettes, but just right by my standards. Desserts were quite large and good for sharing. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was it was a bit louder than we expected. Perhaps something could be done about the acoustics.
George Shum
The meats were excellent. Soup was ok. Bread was too tough to bite or chew and it was not free. Dessert has room for improvement. Service was great and decor was nice. You can either park on the street (metered) or valet (free).

What an awesome place with all the delicious steak they serves here. I love the taste and it was well done. Crab cakes was really good as well. This place and staff was worth to have five star rate. Recommendable.

I really love their food. I always get excellent service here. The place is well kept and the cashiers are always very kind. Will visit here again.

This is one of the top steakhouses in LA. Extremely pleasant experience. The food and drinks were perfect. Wish we could come here more often. Definitely a place for special occasions. Would highly recommend.

Great service great food. I would recommend making a reservation if you go. The sourdough bread is good. I didn't see the need to get the garlic. Filet mignon was also good and so was the pancetta wrapped scallops. Yummm
Royce Kirkland
Very good rib eye steak, generous with the sides ( mashed potatoes, corn and creamed spinach) excellent wine list. The scallops wrapped with prosciutto were outstanding.
Nicholas Escalante
Incredible. The menu makes it almost impossible to pick. Everything tastes so delicious. Services is great and the staff is kind.

This place is absolutely incredible!! Amazing food and even better service! Our server Thomas was the best!!

Superb staff and food! Everything we ordered was on point. The cuts of steak are thick and juicy! Portions for sides was more than enough. The only problem is the ambience, due to the size of the physical location, tables were close together, and the low ceiling clearance meant that noise was amplified. Everything is lively though and the sounds of the other table conversations make everything jovial. Definitely not the place if you want a quiet fancy dinner.

Awesome! We have been regular customers at the Arroyo Chop House (as well as Smitty's and Parkway Grill). Since we can't sit in, we got dinner for 4 to go last Sunday for Mothers' Day. We got our usual mix of salads, steak, lobster and dessert. Pick up was seamless and on time (although they were clearly busy). we then had the most delectable meal imaginable in our back yard (appropriately distanced). Frankly, could not quite believe that the quality and prep of the food was just as good as eating in. Well done! You are absolutely THE BEST! We will not hesitate to keep getting food to go, even without excuses for celebration. Thank you!

Absolutely perfectly prepared wagyu is why I come here. Some will mention that the service is consistently good but not exceptional. Big deal. The beef is dry aged, exceptionally well prepared, and worth every penny. Pictured here is an apple pe, because the beef never lasts long enough for pictures.

Service - excellentAmbiance - the interior was quite dark, comparable to other steak places but I was expecting something a little airier given the environs of its sister restaurant Parkway Grill. We sat on the patio and it was pleasant until the sun went down.Food - really loved the garlic bread and sourdough. We appetizers and entrees weren't as good as Parkway Grill. Perhaps eating a littler later in the season but the tomatoes weren't as amazing and I wasn't as smitten by the food. I will give the benefit that perhaps I filled up too much on bread!

Absolutely love the Chop House. Great food, drinks and service. Chocolate souffle to for.
